Tsukuda's Square, while similar in appearance, is quite different from the 15 Puzzle. First, you will note that there is no empty slot that can be used to move the next tile to: all 16 squares have a tile. The second difference is that this puzzle is much more difficult than the 15 Puzzle. In the 15 Puzzle there is more freedom of movement. Not so with Tsukuda, more of the tiles must move together (at least seven). Finally, this puzzle is mechanically more complex. On the back there is a series of buttons along the side and a plunger on top that must be pressed in the proper order and combination to get the pieces to move properly.
